Sebastien Bourdais lived up to the hype that surrounded his entry into Superleague Formula, when he stormed to victory in the super final, taking the EUR 100k prize.
Behind Bourdais, Olympiacos driver, and winner of Race 1 today, Esteban Guerrieri took second Liverpool FC, back after a dismal performance at Donington, came in third.The Corinthians car of Antonio Pizzonia took the early lead but the Brazilian underestimated the effect of his cold tyres and ended up in the gravel trap.
Team manager Anthony Reid was very happy with Bourdais’ result: “It just goes to show what a superstar he is,” he said. Bourdais was also delighted with his performance during his first weekend in Superleague Formula: "We've had ups and downs all weekend but I guess in the end it all paid off."
